Tryout Details

Player Tryouts

We are looking to field players to create two competitive teams for the upcoming school year. I will be sending out invites to a Player Tryouts Discord channel to all prospective players that meet the ranked requirement of Diamond V. I will begin sending these invites out mid-May. Along with your invitation to the Discord channel, I will also share with you an updating spreadsheet containing a list of all of the other prospective players’ roles and position preferences.

The Player Tryouts Discord channel will be used as the primary means of communication once player tryouts are underway in September. Additionally, I will use this Discord channel to try to organize a few temporary rosters to compete in online tournaments over the course of the summer.

From September 4th to September 20th, player tryouts will take place. Each player will be required to play in two or three tryout blocks during this window, and each player’s scheduling preferences will be collected on September 1st. The tryout blocks will either consist of three game scrimmages versus an amateur team or collegiate team, or a 3 game in-house versus other prospective players at NC State.

On September 23rd, the top two potential Varsity rosters will be determined. During the following week, each potential Varsity roster will play at least one scrimmage block. The preferred Varsity roster will be decided on Friday, September 28th. On September 30th, the Jr Varsity roster will be determined. The Varsity and Jr Varsity roster will be tentative and may change over the course of the school year.
